This season, we’re delighted to be working with top UK stylist Angie Smith on another curated edit. To find out more about her life in Australia, we ask Angie what she gets up to in a typical day.
WAKE UP
I take my dog Gus for a walk then have a coffee and a swim. Afterwards, I’ll catch up on emails and speak to friends and family in the UK.
PILATES
I used to do pilates in London but was never very good at getting my work/life balance right. Working in a different time zone has meant that I’ve been able to do things regularly for myself that I love doing. Afterwards I run errands, which always seems to involve a trip to the post office and to grab groceries for that night.
WORKING BREAKFAST
Breakfast is usually eggs on toast or porridge whilst I work through emails, put together quotes for jobs and do research for upcoming jobs.
LUNCH
I’ll usually meet a friend at the beach or at a nearby cafe for lunch.
WORKING FROM HOME
This time is spent editing boards and selecting looks for work I’ve got coming soon.
CATCH UP WITH MY TEAM
When catching up with my team in the UK, we use Google slides and sheets so everyone in the team is across each project. I’ve found these tools essential when working across different time zones. I also catch up with clients and brands about the exciting things they’ve got coming up.
DINNER AND CHILL
Dinner is either a BBQ at home or a Deliveroo. The local shop has an amazing fish counter, so that’s often on the menu. I usually watch TV or work in the evenings if I’m not out.
BEDTIME
I try and read a bit of my book before bed, but I rarely get past a page before I’m out cold.
