Why we love green

March 31, 2019

The color of life and growth. Of luscious rainforest and dew drops on morning grass. Green means energy and adventure – a call to action and exploration.

Here at FatFace we want to share our passion for all things green. And that starts with the way we do business. By making quality clothing that lasts, we help reduce textile waste and put a stop to throw-away fashion.

From sustainable sneaks to store-wide clothes recycling, we’re upping the ante on ways to protect our precious Earth. And we’d love you to help us.

I:CO

I:CO are a company that helps us to reuse, repurpose and recycle clothes and shoes. From January this year we put I:CO collection boxes in every store, so that you can donate your unwanted textiles and shoes and give them a new life.

THE FATFACE FOUNDATION

It’s not easy being green, but little things can make a big difference. We’re very proud of our charity shop initiative, starting with our first store in Havant. You can pick up brand new end-of-line FatFace clothing at super low prices – and what’s more, 100% of all profits go to charity and local community projects. So you get a double dose of that warm fuzzy feeling with every item you pick up.

We believe that change starts at home, which is why we are working to help local communities and care for our environment through the FatFace Foundation.

STEPPING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

Worried about your environmental footprint? Tread a little lighter with our sustainable sneaks for men and women. Made from The Forest Stewardship Council® certified rubber and organic cotton uppers, these stylish sneaks look and feel great, whilst helping to reduce the impact on the environment.

We’re also continuing our commitment to sustainable cotton through our organic cotton ranges and our support of the Better Cotton Initiative. BCI aims to transform cotton production worldwide by developing better cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity.
