WHY WE LOVE BLUE

April 07, 2019

Blue… It’s the color of the sky and of the sea. Of the draw to nature and soul-stirring coastline. But it’s also a color that denotes integrity and trust.

At FatFace, we know the natural world is there for us all to look after. Which is why we’re proud to bring you a range of eco-friendly swimwear, developed with Fourth Element’s Ocean Positive initiative.

Fourth Element is a leading manufacturer of equipment for ocean adventures, designed to perform in the most extreme environments. Ocean Positive is their initiative to help tackle rubbish in the seas. From ‘ghost’ fishing nets found snagged on reefs and wrecks, to post-consumer plastic bottles - they turn discarded material into swimming gear, rash vests and insulating water-wear.

Now, working together with this innovative partner, the FatFace Foundation brings you a range of swimwear designs. It’s a collection created for people that love protecting the ocean as much as they enjoy playing in it. And the great news is, 100% of the profits will be split between the FatFace Foundation and the World Animal Protection charities. Check out their website here.

THE WAVE PROJECT

Most of us know the feel-good buzz of being in the ocean... The Wave Project brings people together through surfing. It’s a surf therapy programme that’s proven to help young people feel less anxious and more positive. Here at FatFace, we're proud to support their amazing work and the lives they help transform.

Find out more about what they do and the difference they make at waveproject.co.uk. Plus, keep your eyes peeled on our blog for more, coming soon…

SAM ROGERS

Inspiration to take to the water doesn’t come much better than our friend Sam Rogers. Photographer, primary school teacher and team rider for FatStick, Sam is a true weekend wanderer – often parking up his campervan somewhere beside the ocean for the night and getting up at the crack of dawn to catch a blissful sunrise paddle.

If the South Coast waves come calling, guaranteed Sam will be one of the first there, surfboard (and camera) in hand. See his beautiful shots for yourself and find out more about FatStick paddle boards over on his Instagram account - @ssamrogerss. We’ll be catching up with Sam later in the season.

There’s so much good work going on here at FatFace behind the scenes too, to help protect the natural world wherever we can. We’ll let you know as and when new things happen, so keep checking our blog for updates.
