Why We Love Yellow

February 28, 2019

WARMTH. ENERGY. OPTIMISM.

It’s the color of fresh spring days and playful summer evenings. Of courage, creativity and fun. It’s simple, really. When the snow melts and yellow dots the hillsides, things begin to look up. No wonder The Beatles sang, ‘Here comes the sun, it’s all right…’

And it’s why the FatFace Foundation is helping projects that promote embracing life with confidence. Like sunflowers who turn to face the sun’s warming rays, we know that young people – with the right support and strength behind them – grow into the people they’re meant to be.

STEP BY STEP

Life can be extremely tough for some young people. Step by Step believes in a personal approach to help every person who comes their way. Homelessness, mental health difficulties – or just struggling to find a job – this amazing charity does everything it can to get each young person on the right path. And we couldn’t think of a more admirable ambition

TOMORROW’S TALENT

Young people’s ideas are always bright and fresh – and they deserve to be nurtured. Tomorrow’s Talent does just that. Started in 2016, this initiative by Prince’s Trust gives young people a chance to see their designs on products in leading high street shops. Not only does this inspire the creatives of the future, it also raises money to help support other young people to realise their potential.

SPRING IN BLOOM

Bring the sunshine inside this Spring. Flowers can give you the ultimate feel-good factor but it’s not only when you’re out and about that their benefits can be felt. Ask ex-FatFace employee Rebecca Cragg. She now runs her own floral design business bringing life and colour to weddings, retail events and a host of other special occasions. We asked her what flowers she’d recommend for the home this spring. Read her answers here.
