Our Evolution: The FatFace Story so far

May 03, 2018

We’ve come a long way in 30 years. It’s been quite a journey – we’ve travelled from mountains to beaches, and from coastal towns to big cities.

Celebrating 30 years of FatFace

It’s always been our sense of adventure, fun and spontaneity that make us who and what we are. We’re more than just ordinary. And so are our clothes. We started selling tees from a campervan, and proudly grew into a brand that designs modern, stylish clothes for all the family. For work, for chilling, for play. For every day. They’re crafted thoughtfully with you in mind; with unique details, to the highest quality. And they’re created mindfully; with us driving for sustainability, treading lightly wherever we go. We’re FatFace. More than just ordinary, since 1988.

Fast forward to today and we leave no stone unturned to create clothes that are perfect for your lifestyle, whatever you’re getting up to. From those thoughtful little details to the best quality fabrics, all our clothes are designed with you in mind…

It's those little details that make our clothes 'just so'.

All in the detail

We make sure every detail is just so… just so you’ll notice the difference. Perfectly positioned pockets. Oh-so cosy brushed cotton. Trims, buttons, zips, labels — every detail of our clothes is designed to delight. We really do sweat the small stuff.

We go all over to find fabrics, and work hard to get the details just right

Designed by us

From vintage markets to faraway lands, old country homes to rugged coastlines — our designers find inspiration everywhere. And, of course, we do our own design — from the cut and cloth, right down to trims and prints.

From the cut and cloth to the trims and prints, our clothes are perfectly designed

Built to last

Crafted with care, our clothes are made to take whatever life throws at them. We make clothes to last. Which means we choose fabrics that go the distance and use rugged stitching and construction. The result? Our coats are toasty warm, jumpers uber-cosy and PJ’s soft to the touch. These are clothes designed to be lived-in — and loved — for the long term.

Caring about cotton

Organic cotton is better for the environment, better for the people who produce it and better for you. Which is why we’re using it more and more. We’ve also joined the Better Cotton Initiative, which exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future.

We do all this for you. Because we want you to love everything we do. We’ve come a long way in 30 years. And our journey continues. We’re FatFace. More than just ordinary, since 1988.
